The New IB Art Exam 2027

If you found this website you are probably trying to decipher the new IB art exam that begins in 2027. I’m currently working my way through all of the new additional material to figure out what the exam is, and what it isn’t.

The new curriculum has brought some great changes, and some confusing expectations. I’m still working on understanding the artist project, if I like it, if the students will like it, and how to get them to buy into wanting to be an artists. As a Title One school teacher not all of my students are full fledged artists, like the IB believes they are. I believe this can be an exciting opportunity, but I will need time to figure out how to create lessons for it. Till then, here are some free resources. I’m starting to understand the exam by reviewing the rubrics. These posters are colorful and free.
