This series documents school shootings using Data Visualization. Each image is titled according to the month of the school year, and includes State flowers that correspond to school shootings during that month.

As an educator I have had first hand experiences with bullets in my classroom, guns brought as far as the parking lot, and found stashed in the ceiling tiles of classrooms. This is a difficult series for me to approach, because the work is created with empathy, sorrow and fear.

I hope viewers can see this work, be enticed by the designs, and like the latest news update be forced to confront or turn away from the piece. Gun violence is the leading cause of death of children.
